Frequently asked questions

Is it free to create QR codes here?

Yes. Every kind of static QR code (link, bank, Wi-Fi, business card...) and the basic templates are free, with no sign-up and no watermark on PNG/SVG downloads. PRO is only for those who need special templates and many scan-tracked codes.

Do QR codes expire?

A static QR code contains the content directly, so it works forever — even if this site stops running. A dynamic QR code (with scan tracking) goes through a 27Big QR short link and works as long as you keep it in "My QR codes".

What is the difference between dynamic and static QR?

A dynamic QR holds a short link (qrcode.27biggroup.com/q/...). That lets you count scans, see which devices scanned, and change the destination after printing without reprinting. Dynamic QR requires signing in; free accounts get 3 codes.

Why can't bank and Wi-Fi QR codes track scans?

Banking apps and phone cameras read the data inside the code directly (VietQR and Wi-Fi standards). If it were replaced by a short link to count scans, the apps would no longer recognise the code, so these two types are always static.

Does adding a logo make the code harder to scan?

No. When you add a logo, the code switches to the highest error-correction level (recovers up to 30% of its area). Still, print a test and scan it with 2–3 different phones before printing in bulk.

What size should I print a QR code?

At least about 2 × 2 cm for business cards and 3 × 3 cm for flyers. Rule of thumb: code width ≥ scanning distance ÷ 10 (scanning from 1 m means the code should be 10 cm wide). Use SVG or 2048 px PNG for print.
